Applications of Phosphor Bronze Foil
Electrical Contacts & Connectors – Ensures reliable conductivity with superior durability.
EMI/RFI Shielding – Protects electronic circuits from interference.
Precision Springs & Fasteners – Used in high-performance mechanical components.
Aerospace & Automotive Parts – Ideal for high-stress, corrosion-prone environments.
Musical Instruments & Watchmaking – Preferred for fine-tuned acoustics and mechanical precision.
Industrial & Marine Applications – Withstands harsh environments with excellent wear resistance.
Phosphor Bronze Metal Foil Properties:
Phos Bronze is a strong and resilient metal. This makes it great for products that need to be resistant to fatigue, wear or corrosion like industrial components.
It is an alloy of copper containing both tin and phosphorous. The tin makes it easier when casting because the metal has more fluidity when molten. Also because it is an alloy of copper it has relatively good electrical conductivity. An example is the fuse clips inside a domestic plug.
Phosphor Bronze has good elasticity and is commonly used for springs. It is also a good material for processes like pressing, punching and bending as it is known for its high performance and longevity.
